C&G Law is pleased to announce the admission of Annalisa J. Carlota as partner, effective October 15, 2018.
Annalisa is a projects and finance lawyer with over 20 years of experience in energy and infrastructure development across Asia.
Prior to joining C&G Law, Annalisa was an Associate (from 1998 to 2003) and then Senior Associate (from 2003 to 2008) at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan; a secondee at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in Tokyo (from 2006 to 2007); and a legal counsel at the Asian Development Bank (from 2008 until October 2018).
C&G Law is pleased to announce that Ben Dominic R. Yap has succeeded Jaime Renato B. Gatmaytan as Managing Partner of the firm.
Mr. Yap is one of the founding partners of C&G Law. He specialises in litigation and arbitration, and also has experience in corporate and commercial transaction work in the energy sector. A practicing lawyer since 1998, Mr. Yap has received numerous citations in these fields. Among other accolades and recognitions, he has been named by Asialaw as a leading Philippine lawyer in dispute resolution and litigation from 2015 to 2018, and as “Disputes Star of the Year” for the Philippines for 2018. Chambers Asia Pacific also named him as a leading Philippine lawyer in dispute resolution and arbitration its 2015 to 2018 publications, as well as a leading Philippine lawyer in the corporate/commercial field in its 2012 to 2014, and 2018 publications.
Mr. Gatmaytan has completed two terms as Managing Partner in 2017 but remained in that position until this year to oversee the transition of C&G Law into the Rajah & Tann Asia legal network. He will stay on as partner and remain the Head of C&G Law’s act Corporate Commercial Practice.
