Marco’s practice areas include dispute resolution, labor and employment, and general corporate services.

Marco graduated from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law in 2017 and passed the bar in 2018. Aside from consistent inclusion in the Dean’s Honors List, he was a member of the Ateneo Human Rights Center, where he had the opportunity provide legal aid to indigenous communities living in Occidental Mindoro.

Marco obtained his bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from De La Salle University.

Before joining C&G Law, Marco worked at the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He served as a court attorney for Associate Justice Andres B. Reyes, Jr. until the latter’s mandatory retirement in May 2020. Under the auspices of Justice Reyes, Marco was directly responsible for critical jurisprudential developments in corporate and labor law, as well as in the field of expropriation or condemnation. In total, he worked on over a hundred cases dealing with issues in various practice fields.

Experience

Marco is vastly experienced in dispute resolution. He has worked on a wide array of legal issues, novel and familiar, in fields that notably include:

• Corporate law, particularly dealing with the intricate legal technicalities surrounding suits instituted by corporations and their stockholders;

• Labor and employment, with a heavy focus on the rights and duties of seafarers and maritime manning agencies;

• Cases against public officers, criminal or administrative, for culpable acts performed in their official capacities;

• Eminent domain proceedings, advocating prompt payment by government agencies for expropriated or condemned property.
