John Michael Carpio Bacuñgan

John’s practice areas include disputes (litigation & arbitration), infrastructure, labor and mergers & acquisitions.

John’s work experience pre-dates his joining the firm in 2026.  He previously worked in sales for a market leader in the automotive industry.

While in law school, John was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather, the official honor society of the University of the Philippines College of Law. In his senior year, he was a Legal Intern at the UP Office of Legal Aid (“UP OLA”).

Qualifications

• UP College of Law, Juris Doctor (Class of 2025), Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence
• Ateneo de Manila University, Bachelor of Science in Management (Class of 2013)
• Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2026

Experience

John has participated in several matters.  His experience has included:

• Assisting with contract drafting for various corporate and commercial transactions
• Conducting due diligence involving corporate acquisitions
• Assisting on labor advisory matters
