Jon’s practice areas include Energy, Corporate Regulatory & Compliance, Trade, Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities, and Competition Law.

While in law school, Jon worked as a Research Assistant at the UP College of Law. He was also an intern for the Energy Regulatory Commission and the University of the Philippines Office of Legal Aid. He also served as an Academics Committee Head in 2022 and the Criminal Procedure Subject Head in 2021 for the UP Law Bar Ops Commission.  Jon was awarded the Dean’s Special Citation for being an oralist for the UP College of Law’s Teams to the International Bar Association’s International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition at the Hague in 2023 and the Red Cross National Moot Court Competition for International Humanitarian Law in 2022, where he was an international quarterfinalist and a grand finalist, respectively.

• University of the Philippines, Juris Doctor (Class of 2024), Dean’s Special Citation
• University of the Philippines – Los Baños, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Class of 2019)
• Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2025

Experience

Jon has participated in several matters.  His experience has included:

• Assisting with energy and infrastructure projects;
• Assisting on labor, competition, telecommunications and public utilities, and corporate advisory matters;
• Assisting in the general corporate housekeeping of various companies;
• Assisting in commercial transactions and regulatory compliance;
• Assisting in civil, criminal, and labor cases before various Philippine courts and quasi-judicial bodies;
• Rendering legal opinions for both local and foreign clients on general corporate law; and
• Assisting with customs related matters.
